About Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) Programme
The B.Des. programme is offered by Department of Multimedia Communication and Design (MCD). The first batch will start from this academic session starting August 2016. The Bachelor of Design course is affiliated to Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU), Guwahati. The Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) course is considered equivalent to B.Tech. course in engineering and is already being taught by few IITs (like IIT Bombay and IIT Guwahati) and IIITs (IIITDM Jabalpur) as well as many private design institutes. The course covers subjects of Multimedia, Communication Design, Animation, VFX and so on.
CITBDAT (CIT Bachelor of Design Aptitude Test)
The CITBDAT is an entrance test conducted by CIT for admission into the first semester of Bachelor of Design Degree (B.Des.) programme of study as Direct Entry in Department of Multimedia Communication and Design in CIT, Kokrajhar, which is affiliated to Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU), Guwahati, Assam.
Duration & Format of Aptitude Examination:
The Aptitude Test will be conducted in two hour of duration with a total 100 marks. The question paper consist of two (2) sections.
Section-1 will consist of objective type questions carrying one marks each with a total of fifty (50) questions. This section contains questions from subjects such as General awareness, English communication, Computer basics and Creative ability. The questions are of multiple choices with four options of answers.
Section-2 will consist of drawing and creative ability test. Total marks in this section will be fifty (50). There will be two questions carrying equal marks in this section. Separate drawing paper will be provided for drawing/illustration work. Candidates have to carry pencils, pens, eraser, colours (pencil colours only) etc. with them.

Centres of Entrance Examination
At CIT Kokrajhar only.
Educational Qualifications: Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent** with a minimum of 50% (5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates) in the aggregate.
** 3 year diploma passed from recognised institutes.
Age limit: Candidates must not be above 21 years, or below 17 years of age as on 1st August of the year of admission. The upper age limit is relaxed to 3 years for Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe candidates. For Diploma passed candidates the upper age limit is 45 years.
The branch intake capacity for the first batch is 15 (fifteen) only.

Registration fee for application:
1. All the candidates who applied online have to submit print copy of the duly filled in forms along with Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- (one thousand only) for GEN/OBC category and Rs. 500/- (five hundred) for SC/ST category on the date on Aptitude Test (23-07-2016). The demand draft must be made in favour of "Entrance Examination, CIT Kokrajhar" payable at SBI, North Kokrajhar Code No: 07379
Reservation Policy As per CIT Kokrajhar existing rules.
2. Candidates who have applied for the CITDEE or CITLET Entrance Test in the year 2016 do not need to pay the registration fee as mentioned in the above point. However they need to produce their admit card of the CIT Entrance Test on the date of Aptitude Test.
For Lateral Entry Candidates:
All the candidates who come from 3 year Diploma courses can only take admission from the first semester only as this is the first batch of the course.
