Electrical Engineering department in CIT is providing the basic electrical courses to diploma and degree students of other departments. It is well known that roots of Computer Science, Instrumentation and Electronics are very much linked to Electrical Engineering. So the fundamental knowledge of Electrical Engineering is very important. The department has one Basic Electronic Laboratory and this laboratory is well-equipped. Student have the opportunity to learn many practical things related to Electrical Engineering in this lab. Electrical Machine Laboratory is also being built and both AC and DC types of machines would be installed.
