About ICC Cell
Under Chapter II of the Act CIT is to constitute a committee which would responsible for preventing and prohibiting inapproprite, intimidation or otherwise offensive sexually related conduct known as the Internal Complaints Committee ("Committee")
OBJECTIVES OF THE ICC CELL
- The Committee is responsible to receive any Complaint of Sexual Harassment by any Complaint in writing and facilitate the making of such Complaints in case in aggrieved women is unable to make the Complaint in writing.
- The Committee may take steps to settle the matter through Conciliation between the Complainant and the Respondent at the Complainant's request before initiating inquiry into the Complaint.
- If the matter is settled between the Complainant and the Respondent, the Committee is responsible to record such settlement and forward the same to the Employer.
- It suggests the follow-up measures to the institute's administration for achieving the objectives and targets laid down by MoE, GOI for the empowerment of OBCs.
