About SC/ST Cell
The SC/ST Cell, a statutory body has been constituted by the Ministry of Human Resource Management (MHRD) renamed as Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GOI) in the erstwhile Central Institute of Technology (CIT) Kokrajhar to safeguard the interests of the SC/ST employees and students of the Institute as per the instructions of MoE, GOI from time to time.

OBJECTIVES OF THE CELL

  • To implement the reservation policy for SC/STs in the Institute.
  • The cell has been constituted in the institute to resolve all the affairs and grievances of SC/ST students and employees.
  • To continuously monitor and evaluate the implementation of the policies regarding admissions, appointments to teaching/non-teaching positions, and other programs intended for SC/STs by the GOI for their effective implementation at CIT Kokrajhar.
  • It suggests the follow-up measures to the institute's administration for achieving the objectives and targets laid down by MoE, GOI for the empowerment of SC/STs.
